Ingredient Checker

Paste a real ingredient label and Bridge analyses every ingredient for compliance.

How to use

  1. Navigate to Ingredient Checker in the sidebar
  2. Paste your ingredient list in the text area
  3. Optionally add a product name (appears in the PDF report filename)
  4. Select your target markets (UK, EU, US, or all)
  5. Click Check ingredients

What it understands

The parser handles real food label formats:
  • E-numbers in brackets — Preservative (E211), Colour (Tartrazine, E102)
  • Percentages — Tomato (28%), Chicken (15%)
  • Compound ingredients — Chocolate (Sugar, Cocoa Butter, Milk, Emulsifier (E322))
  • May contain statements — May contain peanuts, Produced in a facility that handles milk
  • Nested brackets — fully unpacked recursively

Results tabs

Lists every matched substance with its regulatory status, permitted level (if applicable), and regulation reference.Unrecognised ingredients show guidance on where to look them up manually.

PDF export

Click Export PDF to download a full compliance report including:
  • All three sections (substances, allergens, claims)
  • Regulation references for every finding
  • Sign-off page with fields for reviewer name, role, date, and signature
  • Legal disclaimer
  • Page numbers throughout

Save as product

Click Save as product to save the formulation to My Products for future reference and history tracking.
